BGUA COVID-19 Response

The Byron-Gaines Utility Authority office building will be closed to the general public until further notice.  This decision will be revisited at the beginning of each week.  BGUA is taking the precautions advised by Governor Whitmer’s Emergency Declaration and local public safety officials and limiting our contact with the public when possible.

The Byron-Gaines Utility Authority can still be contacted by phone (616-971-0002) and there are also many resources that can be found on our website http://www.bgua.org.  If you are a contractor and need to sign a stop box waiver, this can be found under the documents section at our website.  If you need to drop off anything at our office, there is a mailbox outside our main door that can be used as a drop off location.

In accordance with Governor Whitmer’s directive on limiting large gatherings, we will not be hosting meetings at our office until further notice.  The safety of the public and our employees are of upmost importance and we will limit our contact with the public as we can.  Our employees will still be available for urgent matters, appointments where we are able to practice social distancing, and will also continue to do maintenance on the water and sewer system.

Resources for COVID-19 can be found at the Kent County Health Department website http://www.accesskent.com/Health or by calling the State of Michigan COVID-19 hotline at 1-888-535-6136

Thank you for understanding!
