What should be flushed if there is a toilet paper shortage?

When faced with a toilet paper shortage, if you use anything other than regular toilet paper for your sanitary needs, please DO NOT flush them down the toilet.  The heavier fibers will clog sewer lines and can cause sewer back ups.  Materials that do not disintegrate in water should be thrown in the garbage and not flushed down the toilet.

Convenience wipes (such as baby, hygienic, cleaning or disinfectant) as well as toilet bowl scrubbers and even paper towels might be labeled as “disposable” or “flushable” but they should NOT be flushed.  These products do not dissolve or break down and can cause sewage back ups.

Please help us keep the sewer system working properly and efficiently.  Disposable does not mean flushable!
